APW - Elgin, B W Raymond s#135, 18S, heavy coin silver Dueber original HC with silver cuvette and gold hinges, KWKS, "National Watch Co" signed WE-SSD, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#135. A padded box from jeweler Shimmon & Hine of Pittsfield, Mass is included with watch. Elgin's production sequence began with #101, making this only the 35th Elgin made.
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, fine mvt condition overall, gilt plates with scattered spotting, plate with abrasions between balance and edge around the letters "W R" of the B W Raymond marking; dial with hl from 10 to top of seconds-register, short hl below seconds-register; fine hands, minute hand is short; case shows very light wear, some MFS, no dents or dings, nice even patina, front lift-spring not functioning; tight bow, push shows light wear; good glass crystal.
